Cow / Calf Earmarking Pliers

Earmarking or notching is used to identify livestock. It is a mandatory requirement in some states. Allowing livestock to be identified by way of an earmark is also beneficial to farm owners. Every state in Australia has different shapes and codes. A full range of earmark shapes for each state/territory and livestock type are available. Earmarkers are made of hardened steel suitable for heavy duty usage. You can resharpen these pliers for longer service.  Cow / calf earmarkers are larger than sheep earmarkers due to the larger ear size.

Please note: All earmarking pliers are made to order - please allow approximately 2-4 weeks for production.

These are calf & cattle ear marking pliers designed for the size of calves and cows' ears.  We also sell sheep ear marking pliers which are smaller (click here to view).  As an example of sizing, the calf / cattle earmarker rim cut design 39 (small U shape) is 12mm wide x 30mm high, and the rim cut design 40 (large U shape) is 22mm wide x 28mm high.  Non standard sizes are available by request.
