Entrust Artista CR3AU ID Card Printer

The Artista CR3AU Reverse Image Retransfer ID Card printer is a versatile printer that can produce true "over the edge" prints in vibrant colors. It eliminates the need for pre-printed cards, as it can create professional finishes from scratch. With the option for pigment ink, the printer resists UV fading, resulting in longer-lasting images and realistic skin tones.

Retransfer printers use ink ribbon and film to dye sublimate print onto cards. The printer prints the image onto the reverse side of a clear film, which is then thermally transferred onto the cards. This process ensures that the printhead doesn't touch the cards, preventing any damage.

The printer offers the option to apply two layers of retransfer film to the front or front and back of the card. The second layer provides additional protection without any printing. Customers can request the second retransfer film layer when submitting the card for printing.

Additionally, the Artista CR3AU printer includes a Laminator Module, which adds an extra layer of security and protection to the card. This helps prevent fading caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.
