The Allflex APR250 Handheld eID Reader is a compact and user-friendly RFID scanning device designed for reading livestock electronic identification (eID) tags and pet microchips, including HDX and FDX-B formats. Offering advanced functionality, it combines basic eID reading with data management capabilities, making it an essential tool for livestock and pet management.

The reader's internal memory can store up to 100,000 ID numbers along with additional information, enabling efficient record-keeping. With its TASK mode, users can log animal management events such as births, vaccinations, or movements by scanning eID tags and populating custom data fields, including timestamps and weight data imported from scales via Bluetooth. The WEIGHT FROM SCALE function supports integration with major scale brands for seamless weight recording, while CONTINUOUS READ mode allows for fast batch scanning.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth and USB, with a magnetic plug simplifying USB connections for data transfer and battery charging. Bi-directional wireless communication enables remote data transfer and integration with iPhone and Android apps, supporting real-time mobile data management.
