Ear Marking Pliers

Earmarking or notching is used to identify livestock. It is a mandatory requirement in some states. Allowing livestock to be identified is also beneficial to farm owners.

The Small Economy version (V, Round, Square, Gable, Inverse Gable) is used in putting notches on animal's ears at a young age for permanent number or ownership ID. Five shapes as pictured (please refer to the third image above). Notches 15mm deep x 5mm wide at base. Stainless steel, good quality. Over all length is 16cm.

The Small V Cut Premium version is a top quality ear notcher from Stone Manufacturing Inc, in USA. Die-cast aluminium, with heat-treated cutting plate. V-cut 9mm x 9mm. These notchers are top quality individually hand finished. Over all length is 13cm. Has spring between handles.

Medium Economy and Premium versions (U/V Cut Shapes) are suitable for mid grown stock. Cut a V or U notch up to 15mm deep, 12mm wide at base. Comes with adjustable depth gauge. Premium notchers are from Stone Mfg. USA. Length is 19cm.

The Large Economy and Premium versions (U/V Cut Shapes) are suitable for full grown stock. Available as a V or U shape. Notch up to 22mm deep, 20mm wide at base. Comes with adjustable depth gauge. Premium notchers are from Stone Mfg. USA. Length is 24cm.
