ACR122U USB NFC Reader

This plug-and-play USB device is used for many different purposes and there are many third party software applications that have been developed for it. It is a PC-linked contactless smart card reader/writer developed based on 13.56 MHz Contactless (RFID) Technology. Compliant with the ISO/IEC18092 standard for Near Field Communication (NFC), it supports not only MIFARE® and ISO 14443 A and B cards, but also four types of NFC tags.

The ACR122U NFC Reader was originally often used for secure personal identity verification and online micro-payment transactions and is now commonly used for:

• SDK Reader for POS & other third party software & hardware.

• Reading, Writing & Duplicating MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Ultralight, DESFire & FeliCa tags. Commonly with UID tags & UID Changeable Special tags with software such as the PCSC Mifare Program software.

• Writing NFC Business Cards and other NFC tags. Commonly with NTAG215 tags with the NFC Tools (PC/Mac) software.
